Our Story
Tahorah Wellness started as two separate ideas, in two separate houses, before either of us knew the other existed.
Where the fire cider started
In 2020, Jordan started experimenting with superfood ingredients, chasing one recipe: a fire cider strong enough to actually do something. He wasn’t trying to build a company he just wanted something that worked, for himself and for whoever in his life was under the weather. Word got around fast. The batches got bigger, then bigger again, and what he’d made in his own kitchen became Tahorah Wellness Fire Cider (known back then as Back to Roots).
Where the linen started
A year later, Elizabeth was reading through Leviticus and came across an old instruction: don’t weave linen and wool into the same garment. That line sent her down a research rabbit hole, and what she found surprised her — linen has real, documented benefits for the body that most modern fabric doesn’t. Good linen was hard to find and harder to afford, so she started making her own. That became Tahorah Designs.
How they met
In the summer of 2022, Jordan drove cross-country from Southern California to Eastern Tennessee. At a church market in his new town, he set up across from a woman selling linen. She came over, bought a couple of bottles of fire cider — the best money she ever spent, she’ll tell you — and that was that. They were married 33 days later.
Where we are now
Jordan and Elizabeth live in rural Middle Tennessee with their six kids, and the whole Tahorah Wellness lineup fire cider, linen, tallow skincare still comes out of their hands. What started as market-stall sales around Chattanooga, Cleveland, and Tellico became Tahorah Wellness LLC in 2025, when the fire cider and linen businesses combined under one name.
What we make
Our Fire Cider is handcrafted and fully organic a whole-body wellness tonic built from ingredients people have used for generations to support digestion, ease congestion, and back up the immune system. It’s naturally fermented, so it keeps for months, and it’s strong enough that you’ll know it’s working the moment you taste it.
Our clothing and textiles are handmade from 100% linen and 100% cotton, all Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified. Everything we sell fire cider, linen, tallow skincare is made with organic ingredients and nothing artificial: no preservatives, no synthetic colors, no filler chemicals.
We only make what we’d use ourselves. That’s not a slogan. It’s how the company started, and it’s still how we decide what goes on the shelf.
